Effective 14 August 2026 · Last updated 14 August 2026
nnabo is operated by Agora Labs Limited, a company incorporated in Nigeria (RC: 9646638), with its registered office at Number 5, Fola Oshibo, Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria. In these Terms, "we," "us," and "nnabo" mean Agora Labs Limited, and "you" means the person using the service.
By tapping to continue at sign-up, creating an account, or otherwise using nnabo, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not use nnabo.
These Terms form a binding legal agreement. Please read them carefully and keep a copy for your records.
You must be at least 13 years old to use nnabo. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use nnabo with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
You must register with a phone number you control and provide accurate information about yourself, including the neighbourhood you live in. nnabo is a neighbourhood service and residency verification is central to how it works - misrepresenting where you live is a breach of these Terms.
You may hold only one account. You may not create an account if we have previously terminated your account for a breach of these Terms.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and for keeping access to your phone number and device secure. Tell us immediately at support@nnabo.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account). What we retain after deletion is described in our Privacy Policy and on our account deletion page.
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or for abusive users. nnabo exists so that neighbours can rely on one another, and that only works if everyone is safe here. You agree that you will not post, upload, share, send, or otherwise make available any content, and will not engage in any conduct, that:
You also agree not to attempt to circumvent any block, mute, suspension, or removal - including by creating another account - and not to scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or its security.
Content that breaches these rules is objectionable content, and a user who engages in this conduct is an abusive user. There is no warning requirement and no tolerance threshold: we may act on the first occurrence.
You do not have to wait for us to act. Every post, comment, and incident report in nnabo carries a Report option, and you can block any neighbour directly from their content or their profile.
Reporting. Reports go into a moderation queue reviewed by our team and by area coordinators. Reporting is confidential - the person you report is not told who reported them.
Blocking. Blocking a neighbour takes effect immediately and works in both directions. Their posts and comments disappear from your feed, yours disappear from theirs, neither of you can message the other, and neither can see the other's profile. Blocking also notifies us of the content that prompted it, so our moderation team can review it. The only exception is a Tier 1 emergency alert - a fire, an armed robbery, a gas leak - which is broadcast area-wide and will still reach you, because we will not let a personal dispute suppress a warning about your own street.
Muting. Muting is quieter and one-way: a muted neighbour's posts leave your feed, they are not told, and they can still message you. Use mute when you simply do not want to see someone; use block when someone is a problem.
You can review and undo blocks and mutes at any time in Profile → Settings.
We review reports of objectionable content and abusive behaviour and act on them within 24 hours, which may include removing the content, removing the account of the user responsible, or both.
Depending on the seriousness of the breach and any history, we may: remove or hide content; issue a warning; restrict your ability to post, comment, or file safety alerts for a period; suspend your account; or permanently terminate your account. Serious breaches - threats, sexual content involving minors, impersonation of emergency services, knowingly false emergency alerts - may result in immediate permanent termination without prior warning.
We may also remove content or accounts where we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with the law, to protect the safety of residents, or to protect nnabo.
Where local law requires it, or where we believe in good faith that there is a risk of serious harm, we may disclose information to law enforcement or other authorities, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Appeals. If you believe an enforcement decision was wrong, you may appeal in the app or by writing to support@nnabo.com. Appeals are reviewed by someone other than the person who made the original decision.
You keep ownership of everything you post. You are responsible for your content and for having the right to share it.
By posting to nnabo, you grant Agora Labs Limited a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating, improving, and securing the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except that we may retain copies as described in our Privacy Policy and may keep records necessary for safety, moderation, and legal compliance.
Deleting your account does not delete posts and comments you made in shared conversations. As explained on our account deletion page, your identifying details are erased and your contributions remain under a "Deleted neighbour" label so that threads other residents are reading do not break.
We do not pre-screen content. Content on nnabo is created by residents and does not represent our views. We are not responsible for it, but we will act on it when it is reported to us, as set out in Section 6.
nnabo lets residents tell each other about incidents in their neighbourhood. nnabo is not an emergency service and does not contact the police, fire service, or any other authority on your behalf. Reports you file are shared with verified residents of your neighbourhood and with volunteer area coordinators. Nothing you post here is transmitted to law enforcement.
In an emergency, contact the emergency services directly. Do not rely on nnabo to summon help. Where an area's coordinators have provided local emergency contact numbers, those are shown in the app for your convenience so that you can call them yourself; we do not operate those services and cannot guarantee that any number is current or that anyone will respond.
Area coordinators are volunteer residents, not employees, security professionals, or officials. Information posted by residents and coordinators may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. You are responsible for your own decisions about your safety.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of nnabo at any time. We will give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will update the effective date above and, if the changes are significant, notify you in the app. Continuing to use nnabo after an update means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using nnabo and delete your account.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, nnabo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Agora Labs Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of nnabo - including any loss or harm arising from content posted by other residents, from reliance on a safety alert or incident report, or from any failure of an alert to reach you.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or NGN 50,000.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Agora Labs Limited, its directors, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of content you post, your use of nnabo, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
You may stop using nnabo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account as described in Section 6, or if we discontinue the service.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination - including Sections 7, 10, 11, and 13 - continue to apply after your account ends.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of Lagos State, Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of nnabo, save that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at support@nnabo.com so that we can try to resolve the matter directly.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about nnabo. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
These Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience, and the English version governs.
