nnabo is operated by Agora Labs Limited, a company incorporated in Nigeria (RC: 9646638), with its registered office at Number 5, Fola Oshibo, Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.
When this policy says "we," "us," or "nnabo," it means Agora Labs Limited.
Phone number. We ask for your phone number when you sign up. We use it to send a one-time verification code (OTP) and to identify your account. We do not sell your phone number or use it for marketing.
Your name. nnabo uses real names, not usernames. You provide your first name and enough of your last name to be distinguishable from other residents in your area. This is visible to other verified residents in your neighbourhood. If you enable Anonymous Mode, your name is hidden from your posts while your verified area is still shown.
Location - once, at verification only. When you join nnabo, we ask for your GPS location a single time to confirm you live in the neighbourhood you selected. We store an approximate version of this coordinate (fuzzed by roughly 100 metres) - enough to confirm your area, not enough to pinpoint your front door. We do not track your location after this point. We never run background location services.
Content you post. Posts, comments, incident reports, and any media you attach are stored on our servers and shared with verified residents in your area. You can delete your own posts at any time within the editing window. Coordinators or Agora Labs administrators may remove content that violates our community guidelines.
Usage data. We collect anonymised signals about how the app is used - which screens are visited, how long sessions last, which features are opened. We use this to understand what is working and what needs to improve. This data is analysed in aggregate and is not tied to your identity beyond your internal user ID.
Device information. We collect a device identifier on installation to prevent ban evasion and detect coordinated fake accounts. This is not shared with third parties.
Push notification tokens. When you allow notifications, we store a token provided by Apple or Google to send you safety alerts and community updates. You can withdraw this permission at any time in your device settings.
We use the information described above to:
Posts, comments, and incident reports you create are visible to other verified residents in your neighbourhood. If you delete a post within the permitted editing window, it is removed from the feed. Some records may be retained for a short period in our systems for safety and moderation purposes before permanent deletion.
Content you post anonymously is visible to other residents without your name attached. Your identity as the original poster is known to Agora Labs administrators but is never disclosed to other residents except in the circumstances described in Section 3.
Incident reports stay within your neighbourhood. nnabo is not an emergency service. Reports you file are shared with verified residents of your area and with volunteer area coordinators - they are not transmitted to the police, the fire service, or any other authority. In an emergency, contact the emergency services directly.
Moderation. nnabo has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report any post, comment, or incident, and you can block any neighbour - blocking takes effect immediately, works in both directions, and notifies our moderation team of the content behind it. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. The full rules, and what happens when someone breaks them, are set out in our Terms of Use.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information (name, phone number, location) within 30 days. Content you created may remain in aggregate or anonymised form for safety and community record purposes.
Usage analytics data is retained for up to 24 months and then deleted or fully anonymised.
